Be Alert – Fraudsters May Be Impersonating SFCU!

Important Fraud Alert!

We have been made aware of a recent scam where fraudsters are calling members and impersonating Credit Union employees. Using deceptive technology, these calls may appear on your caller ID as if they’re coming from SFCU.

During these calls, scammers claim your account has been targeted by fraud and ask for sensitive information such as personal details, account numbers, debit card information, or online banking credentials. They then use this information to commit fraud, including registering for digital wallets and making unauthorized purchases.

Also, please keep in mind that criminals can spoof not only phone numbers; but emails, and text messages to make them seem like they’re from SFCU or another trusted organization.

If you receive an unsolicited phone call, email or text message asking you to provide any kind of sensitive information, it is a scam, hang up immediately and contact us directly at 508-678-2851.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:  Please remember that SFCU will never call you and request a card number, password, PIN or security code from you.  Verification is only performed during customer-initiated interactions.
