The These Are My People Contest (“National Contest”) begins 11/07/22, at 12:01 a.m. CST and ends at midnight 12/07/22 CST (“National Contest Period”).  Must be a permanent, legal United States resident who is physically residing in one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, and are at least 18 years old as of the start of the National Contest Period to enter.   If any minors appear in an entry, the entrant must be that minor’s parent or legal guardian.  1 entry only per person.  Entries may be submitted electronically using a provided QR code; or this designated website www.kasascontest.com. Entries must consist of (a) an accurate and completed entry form containing the entrant’s full name, email address, telephone number, zip code and  (b) an original photograph (“National Photo”) and (c) a statement (“National Statement”) on the following prompt: Show and tell us about the special connection you have with your favorite person or people that mean the most to you and how you would use $25,000 together (“National Prompt”), collectively (“National Submissions”).  All National Submissions must be received within the National Contest Period. 

Entrants represent and warrant that their National Submissions do not violate the rights of any third parties. Entrants grant National Sponsors, any administrative, advertising, and promotional agencies National Sponsors uses, and any other entity involved in the development, administration, promotion or implementation, (collectively “National Contest Entities”) a non-exclusive license to reproduce, publicly perform, publicly display, stream, exploit, make derivative works of and otherwise use their National Submission, in whole or in part, for any purpose, including without limitation commercial purposes, in any and all media now or hereafter in perpetuity. Entrants also agree that National Contest Entities have the right to publicize their National Submissions without financial remuneration.  

All Submissions will be judged by a panel of judges selected by the National Sponsors (“National Judges”) based on the following criteria (“National Judging Criteria”): (1) National Statement (60%) – National Statement should address the National Prompt, be engaging with originality and clarity of expression and (2) National Photo (40%) – creativity, composition, and presentation of the National Prompt in the National Photo.  Ties will be broken by identifying the National Submission with the highest number of judged points or by an additional National Judge independently applying the National Judging Criteria.   Decisions of National Sponsors and National Judges are final and binding with respect to all matters related to the National Contest.

The National Prize Recipients will be announced on 12/10/22 and the National Winners will be announced on 12/19/22.  National Sponsors reserve the right to select up to fifteen (15) runners up (“National Runners Up(s)”); and five (5) potential finalists, (“National Finalist(s)”) who will each receive a one-hundred-dollar ($100) gift card; collectively (“National Prize Recipients”).   The National Finalists’ National Submissions will be evaluated by the National Judging Criteria to identify two (2) first prize winner (“National First Prize Winners”) who will receive $10,000 each and one (1) grand prize winner (“National Grand Prize Winner”) who will receive $25,000, collectively (“National Winners”).  Estimated retail value of prizes is as stated, actual retail value may vary.

National Prize Recipients and National Winners will be notified by phone or email. Within two (2) days of such notification, National Prize Recipients and National Winners must respond and execute and return: an affidavit of return an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability, and, except where prohibited, a publicity release and other potential documentation (collectively, “National Contest Documents”) and failure to do so, may result in disqualification.   All who receive a prize are responsible for applicable taxes.  Prizes are not transferable, and no substitutions are permitted.
