Somerset Federal Credit Union has selected this year’s recipients of three $2,000 scholarships awarded annually to high school seniors headed to college, who share the same philosophy of the Credit Union, ‘people helping people’.
SFCU is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 scholarship awards, recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to community service.
Hunter Pearson has been awarded the Oliver C. Perry, Jr. Scholarship, named in honor of the Credit Union’s esteemed former President. Andrew Heroux has been selected to receive the SFCU Scholarship and Eric Rego has been awarded the ReachOut! Scholarship.
Hunter and Andrew are 2025 graduates of Somerset Berkley Regional High School. Hunter will attend Davidson College in the fall, where he plans to major in Psychology. Andrew will be enrolling at Wentworth Institute of Technology, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business.
Eric, a 2025 graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, will attend Johnson & Wales University to study Cyber Security.
These exceptional students have distinguished themselves through their academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and communities.
